Sashworks offer a bespoke renovation service for timber sliding sash and casement windows, as well as timber doors.
Our service centres around maintaining the original charm and character or your windows while upgrading them to perform like a modern uPVC unit in terms of draught-proofing, energy efficiency and acoustic performance. Our renovation service includes the installation of the Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System and our unique Sash Removal System. We also offer new timber windows, secondary glazing, slim double glazed replacement sashes and new window hardware.
Our service focuses firstly on window restoration and secondly on upgrading the performance of sash windows. Existing wooden sliding sash windows are treated to remove any rot and improve any operational issues.
The sash windows are then upgraded by fitting the Ventrolla Perimeter Sealing System, which eliminates draughts and rattles. At the same time, the Ventrolla Sash Removal System can also be fitted to ease future painting, cleaning and maintenance. In addition to sliding sash windows we also work on casement windows and other timber windows and doors. Such diversification and decades of experience have made us Scotland and Northern England’s leading period window specialists.
For more than 30 years, we have worked on period homes, listed buildings and properties within conservation areas, restoring and upgrading sash windows, casement windows and doors .
Our projects range from small domestic houses to large commercial projects. However diverse the scale of our activities may be, Ventrolla’s principles have never changed – restoring the original beauty of your sash windows, while improving their performance.
Sashworks have over 30 years’ experience of working on residential and commercial projects of all sizes, focusing on period properties of Victorian, Georgian, Edwardian and pre-war origin, along with listed buildings and those within conservation areas.
